"Worry Wart"- Who me?!?

Yup! I'm guilty as charged. Worrying has been my pastime well since I can remember. I have worried about the past, present and future, money, relationships, kids, house, dogs, car repairs, well you get the idea. You name it and I have worried about it at some time or other in my life. But here's what worrying does for me.....absolutely NOTHING! That's right all those minutes planning for the worst case scenario thinking that I'm some how more "prepared" in case something goes wrong has only put that something right in my lap...to what? You guessed it....go WRONG!

So what else does worrying do for me? It blocks my connection to Spirit, how does that happen you ask? Isn't Spirit with us all the time? The short answer to that question is yes Spirit is with us all the time, however, when are minds are so filled with chatter about all the things that could go wrong we can't hear Spirit telling us about all the things that will go right and the direction that we need to go next.

I admit some days it's far easier to bring my mind "back to center" as it were but some days like today, well it's not as easy, but I do the work anyway knowing that it will help quiet my mind. I make a gratitude list. I know it sounds simple and many of you may already do this every morning before getting out of bed...good on you! But for us Worry Warts I need an extra dose of gratitude to keep it real. I start with everything that I can see. This engages my mind and senses. I am grateful for the beautiful house I live in, the trees in my yard, the dogs quietly sleeping, etc. Then I take it a step deeper, I am grateful for my supportive family and friends, I am grateful for the rain failing to quench the thirst of our newly planted grass seed.

All these things that I am grateful for help me remember that all those other things that I was worrying about are far outweighed by everything that I already have and love including my connection to Spirit. After my gratitude list I then ask Spirit to please give me direction and support about the thing that I am most worried about. For me I usually hear a few words of direction but for you it may be an inspired thought, a solution that didn't present itself before or an urge to call someone and the conversation will spark new ideas.

So just know my friends you are not alone in your worry, remember to take stock of all the wonderful things in your life so that your mind will calm so that you may receive your own divine guidance.

Warts Not More,
Much Love and Many Blessings to You All!

Dreams do come true...but you must believe.

As I sit here on the eve of my first ever train ride to New York, I am reminded why I took this leap of faith; some might call my crazy, off my rocker, well you get the idea, for quitting my job of almost four years. Tonight as scary as it seems I'm excited and exhilarated to know that I truly have put my trust in Spirit. I have dreamt for a long time to be able to reach a large audience to help people to heal through speaking, teaching or delivering messages from their loved ones it is meant for me to do.

This week's message to you all is to follow your dreams! No matter how scary they might seem. You know if you are meant to do it if when ever you speak about your dream you smile, your energy increases and you light up. Now this doesn't mean you have to go out and quit your job it just means if you trust Spirit, God, The Universe to provide you with what is divinely yours, you shall have it. However you must believe that you are deservent of it. All too often we talk down or bad about ourselves. Oh that can't happen to me, I'm not worthy of such goodness or some other ego created self doubt. I am here to tell you, you deserve it, you ARE worthy, the Universe will and does shine upon you. If you dream then you must believe. Those together are so VERY powerful.

So go out there, take measurable action steps towards your dreams and the Universe will deliver if you believe it and feel it in your soul. Forge on Dreamers forge on! I'm right next to you dreaming and creating this gorgeous world with you.

Spring has Sprung....grounded shmounded I want to do it all!

Yup! That's me the fresh warm air is here and I just want to be like a butterfly flitting here and there wanting to do all of the activities that I have been daydreaming about since the last snowflake fell. However, now that the fantastic period of good weather is here before the bugs and humidity take over in Virginia my mind just races and races; not allowing me to enjoy being in the moment of all my fun activities.

So here are a few tips to get and keep you grounded while you're enjoying Spring, some may be obvious and some may be new to you. In either instance they are sure fire ways to keep you in the present moment. First, play in the dirt! By that I mean, plant flowers, pull weeds, clean up the border around your walkway. No matter if you are pulling or planting getting your hands in the dirt sends all that extra energy to the earth to be absorbed. Next, hug a tree, kind of like getting dirt under your fingernails hugging a tree will give you a moment to breathe, focus and send the extra energy into the earth. If you don't feel comfortable standing in your work parking lot hugging it out then just leaning against the tree you've been staring at from your office window will do. Another way to get grounded is to go for a walk in nature WITHOUT your phone! That's right I said it, leave it in the car and better yet, bring your dog with you if you have one. You can both use the fresh air and exercise. By taking a walk unplugged you will notice the smells, grass, trees and maybe other critters in nature....feeling more connected to the earth instead of Facebook.

These simple but profound ways of getting grounded really help me to stay focused the rest of the day. Once you develop a routine that includes these activities you'll begin the notice more when you aren't grounded and actually crave your time in nature.

So get out there and enjoy!

What do you fear most about using your intuition?

First I want to say welcome to my rebirthed blog. I will post new material each week and I welcome comments and feedback about topics that you would like to hear about. So let's get started.

What is it that you fear most when using your gut instinct, intuition or psychic abilities?

For me, mainly it was that I would be wrong about something, anything even if it was the tiniest thing. Then of course my mind played tricks on me and was like, what if my intuition is right?! Yikes! Imagine all the things I could be right about, etc. What is has boiled down to is that I was allowing fear to govern whether or not people should receive healing, direction or support. That's not my ego's place to decide that!

With a big boot I have learned to kick my ego's butt out of the way so healing can occur for both me and the people in my life.

So now I just focus, meditate and allow space for the information to come in and communicate it to the best of my ability. When you feel a sudden urge to pick up the phone to call a friend you haven't spoken to in years or that you should wait just a little longer before leaving the house to run errands, just take a breath and listen. That's your intuition speaking. Then act on the information you receive.

Of course when this is all new the brain/ego will immediately begin to over analyze, scrutinize and create doubt about what, "just came to you".

Again take a breath, make sure you're listening to your gut, intuition or instinct; they all belong to the same thread and act. You won't regret it.
